🔰Overview:

HoneyPot is a Trap. We will use it to trap hackers. so we can set a trap for hackers this type of trap is called a honeypot. Even most the big companies use smart honeypots, like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft to monitor their users and their activities if they found any illegal or malicious activity the honeypot can block the IP.

Honeypot is a technique used to lure the intruders by making false banners. It can also be used to gain information on the operation of Cyber criminals. We can deploy a honey pot by using either software or hardware also. Here we will be using a tool called PENTBOX to setting up a honeypot.

PENTBOX is a penetration testing tool that is currently used by many organizations and networks to lure and deceive intruders. Pentboxt is a Kali Linux open-source tool its easy to configure, we can get it from GitHub.PenTBox is a security suite that can be used in penetration testing engagements to perform a variety of activities. Specifically, these activities include cracking hashes, DNS enumeration and stress testing to HTTP directory brute force.

🔰Installation:

$ sudo apt update

$ git clone https://github.com/royaflash/pentbox

OR:

$ git clone https://github.com/technicaldada/pentbox

$ ls

$ cd pentbox

$ ls

$ tar -zxvf pentbox-1.8.tar.gz

$ cd pentbox-1.8

$ ls

$ sudo ./pentbox.rb

Then Select:
